Thank you to everyone who attended the recent AGM. There were some changes to the
executive and the committee, and we would like to say a big thank you to those who have
not extended their committee positions and a big welcome to the new committee
members.
Our thanks go to Matt Gillett who has diligently and very competently fulfilled the
treasurer’s position over the last 3 years. Matt has also been instrumental in the running
of the January Tournament. Your contribution over the last 3 years has been tremendous
Matt.
We also thank Vince Gillett, Laurie Webb and Kris Wenhuda as they step down from their
committee positions and welcome Russell Bartlett to the Treasurer’s position and Martin
Hames, Karl Jones and Yvette Stanley to the general committee. John Dennis has also
moved from Committee member to Vice President. It is great having members willing to
step up into these positions.
There were a number of items to arise from the AGM:
1. Proposed Membership changes were affected.
HTC will now only have 4 membership options
2. Life membership was awarded to Vince Gillett for his
outstanding service to the HTC: through many years on
the HTC committee in various committee positions and
from 2006 – 2011 as Junior Convenor. A well-deserved
nomination.
